Hi ATD,

Some advice please, am giving some thought to the idea of moving to Buckhurst Hill next year and as the resident local expert I was wondering if there's any areas I should swerve? Also, what's the nicer end of town, the Buckhurst Hill or Roding Valley end?

Apologies for the delayed reply, first time I've checked this subsection.

Buckhurst Hill way is nicer, but also quite a bit more expensive. I live Roding Valley way and it's fine however. Buckhurst Hill is the definition of sleepy suburban town, we have two Costas and a Waitrose, that basically sums it up.

Cheers ATD, that exactly what I'm looking for (well I'd rather they were Cafe Neros)

Think the other half might be harder to convince as she still enjoys urban life. Might suggest Chingford as a compromise
