If we actually went into administration and ended up going into liquidation, who would actually get behind the Phoenix club? I certainly would

Yes.

Seem to remember a conversation I had when Hearn first sold up that there were plans to get the framework for a phoenix club in place already! Not sure if that happened but I reckon there would be a load of interest.

Dibs on head of recruitment role.

If there was a phoenix club, we would be playing about 9 levels down ( at least) from where we are now

Wages would have to be paid, as well as rent for ground plus other expenses

How would this be done?

by one person with big finances, or by many with limited finances?

This is something Im not clued up on

If the club goes then I won't be supporting any Phoenix club. Only one Leyton Orient. When it's gone, it's gone.

I'm sure fans of Wimbledon, Darlington, Maidstone and other Phoenix clubs would politely disagree with you, there.

I'm assuming it's easier if you keep most of your fanbase.
If you are getting crowds of 3,000 in a league where the average attendance is 100 then you should have a good chance of signing all of the good players at that level.

Yup I'll be there if it happens, if we have to start in a park like AFC Wimbledon I'll be there ready to play lol.

If the finances Mat Roper just posted on Facebook are correct this may be coming sooner rather than later :(

Of course. But you'll be up against some heavily financed clubs with rich sugar daddy owners desperate to reach the football league, you'd also have every footballer and other club trying it on.

Still, if we were able to retain the existing squad we'd probably have half a chance at that level.

I cant comment on the feelings of every fan of the club you mention, who knows how many did not support their new club and just stopped going. not relevant anyway.

It is a personal comment about my relationship with Leyton Orient. If the club dies I will have no interest in any Phoenix club, ever.

If we were playing 9 leagues below this one, and dishing out wages of £150 a game. I'm certain we'd piss through at least the 1st three years. I could get a centre back, a striker, a winger, a right back and a left back that I know for a fact are earning less than that at Ryman League clubs right now.

At least we can chalk something up in the 'Pro' column if we go out of business, then.

Dunno about you JWC, but I'm really beginning to warm to the idea now. Perhaps we ought to take a Lexity approach, and vote #BechtiIn to hasten our demise, precipitate the crisis, and bring forward the real outcome that we're all yearning for #MafiosoOut
