Notts County Takeover - Kevin Nolan Installed As Manager

PostPosted by ChingfordRed » Wed Jan 11, 2017 1:28 pm

Alan Hardy has finally completed his takeover of Notts County, he'll also be appointing their new manager tomorrow.

They might not be behind Orient for much longer if they get things right early.

To be fair, it doesn't really matter what others do, the aim has to be to keep two teams below us, come May, sadly this looks a very tall order at present. Sadly AE, has done nothing to solve the defensive deficiencys and that is a major worry. Last night's Cheltenham result, will surely do their confidence no end of good and that could obviously hurt us as well. Could see it ending up being two from three, one of which being us. Confidence appears to be at an all time low throughout the team and AE has certainly got his work cut out, but here's hoping.

Mark Robins and some chap called Kevin Nolan are joint favourites for the Notts County manager's job.

Imagine if Nolan went in there and kept County up at Orient's expense.

Robins is 6/1 and Nolan is 1/4 with Skybet.
Nolan with Hendon as his assistant I reckon.

Oops, were joint favourites, Nolan's got a great chance to get one over Becchetti here assuming he gets it.

Wonder if it would be a Player Manager role ?
Shouldn't be.
I reckon he'd keep Alan Smith as his assistant, old team mates and that.

Hopefully he's realised his playing days are long gone, he found it unbelievably difficult to accept at Orient, understandable.

Some of the away performances under Nolan were excellent.
If left alone I reckon he would have done a good job here.

Big club, can't see him not being offered it and can't see him not taking it. Highly doubt it'll include a playing role after last season.

Hendon as no 2 is a really good shout.

County have had so many takeovers and false dawns,
Erikson was the answer followed by Sol Campbell who
lasted a,game...
This one will be no different a club seriously underachieving
they'll still be bottom 4 like ourselves...

Keep the faith i can guarantee you we wont go down
and im basing it on the fact that we won't rapidly
find a new lease of form and win games..
Its purely on the fact that there are two teams worse than
us namely Newport and either Cheltenham or
morecombe, next season is the real concern will there
be 2 teams worse than us who knows but i very much
doubt it...

Nolan LOL. Totally clueless as a player now. His performance at Barnet was as bad as anything I have seen at the O's
