Funny you should ask - I've just posted Update 13 at https://www.gofundme.com/saveorient#updates

(Just under £6k in total and £170k, respectively.)

When the revised total of £250k was proposed at the Leytonstone meeting I honestly thought £150k would be the max we could raise. £170k and rising is a real testament to the passion of O's fans and Football fans in general to help rid us of Becchetti and particularly LOFT who have been fantastic. :clap

Fund page on the website and on GoFundMe (update 14) revised to take account of the sale of the club, and to note that we look forward to discussing using the Regeneration Fund to help in the rebuilding of the club, within the members' mandate around fan representation.

Given that a lot of other fans of other clubs contributed many thousands towards the fund to save Orient , it is only appropriate that a proportion of this fund is used to help other football fans or clubs in trouble.

It would reflect well on Orient and its fans to make donations, perhaps equivalent to the sums collected at other clubs games towards the Football Supporters Federation and or Supporters Direct to reflect the help given by other clubs and to provide support to help other clubs that find themselves in similar situations.

The rebuilding of the club?

It's been bought by a life long fan. Either keep the money just in case the sh!t ever hits the fan again, or put it to good use, maybe as suggested helping out other clubs still in the sh!t.

Handing over best part of £200 grand to Travis and Co doesn't make any sense.

Repay the other Fan Trusts who donated

Repay those significant donors who want their money back

Put the money into the club but only in exchange for shares. If not available keep it in reserve for another rainy day.

Don't know what kind of fan owner Travis is yet so I suppose there is still scope for fan involvement/community ownership in the future. Community ownership is the only way we can preserve the club for the future without being subject to rich asset strippers and rich ego maniac lunatics or be bankrupted by Rwandan Civil War.

I'd be happy if the Trust just held on to the cash. There's certainly no rush to clear it out of the bank. If the new owners are really serious about fan involvement, then they might choose to give the Trust share in the club without the need for LOFT to pay for them (wishful thinking, maybe).

How about giving at least some to the Leyton Orient Trust or Community Sports Programme? although repaying the other clubs fans trusts seems right as well.
