Not the quid itself, but how they were going to pay it.

Becchetti wanted £1 originally, but given rising inflation that increased to £1.02 and then £1.03. T&T would only offer £1.01. Both sides expensive legal teams were deadlocked for months over this.

What was Omer's response to this?

He obviously didn't agree with it.

Sounds like Riza has been shown the door based on his last couple of tweets. Question is, by whom?

He basically said it's news to him and can he fill him in.

I'm hoping it's just that, Riza doesn't deserve to be f***ed off out of the club completely.

I see Calderwood was mentioned by Lills.
Wasn't he Ling's best mate or something?

Doesn't really seem to be a realistic target, had a number of good jobs recently.

Good friends, ex-Swindon teammates, currently Steve Bruce's assistant at Aston Villa, he won't leave that job for Orient in non-league, even for an old mate.

Colin Calderwood lived in Buckhurst Hill whilst playing for Spurs and still lived there when he was Forest manager.

This. I would be surprised if he wasn't offered a role at the club further down the pecking order. Not a good start if he is shafted.

If (When) new owners come in I hope they don't make the same mistakes as Becchetti consistently did and employ a manager with a decent track record as a manager in lower league football. OK we are National League so our options will be reduced, but there must be many experienced managers out there without a club ( or in No 2 positions ) and the opportunity to join Orient as No 1 will be attractive.

From Riza's point of view, you could understand if he felt shafted. He produced some good performances from the team despite the circumstances and ranking all managers last season he was probably joint top with Webb (adjusted for resources available).

He also has got on with the job in the close season despite not knowing what is going on.

On the flipside, he is out of contract at the end of the month. And new owners are pretty much entitled to bring in their own people, who are most likely better qualified. From a practical point of view it might not be that great to have a former manager still involved at the club (who clearly has eyes for the top job) while a new guy is trying to stamp his authority. That's one of the small reasons why managers bring their own people

Happens all the time in the big bad business world, anyone with a little experience would understand.

If that's the case then that just doesn't make sense. Unloyal and untrustworthy?

He surely never thought Becchetti was either loyal or trustworthy in the first place.
