Have we anybody that watches the opposition ?

PostPosted by KUNG FLOO PANDA » Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:13 pm

Before we play them

It was bloody obvious to everybody in the ground that they (Halifax) would play to their strengths, in lumping it up to the big number 9 (who at the start wouldn't have believed his luck in having an 18 year old and a player coming back from injury marking him) and having runners off him.

Surely this would and could have been pointed out to Davis & Co between Saturday and today if anybody had gonr to see them.

We dropped off from him on every occasion, and when we did wise up we put one of the smallest men on the park in front of him

It was crying out to have a central defender touch tight to him, and this didn't happen, also they 2 centre half's got bullied by him, which i doubt would have happened if Coulson or Big Geroge would have played.

The 2 who played tonight do not fill me with any confidence for Sat, lets hope 1 or Both of Coulson or George are back otherwise i feel another drubbing :( :(

Elokobi and Coulson will be out for at least another couple of weeks. Elokobi has a pulled hamstring but i don't know to what extent Coulson's injury is . Hopefully, at least one of them is back shortly.

Agree completely and mentioned it in another thread. Halifax had a big man and played it brilliantly through him. Lawless was marking him from goal kicks, jobi from throws and he literally won everything. We desperately needed to make it difficult for him but didn't get near him and that's on davis to manage at least mid game but he didnt.

Halifax played us at an ideal time in that we lost both centre halves
and the two replacements have had very little time on the pitch..
The big lump was always going to be a handful but he wasn't that
good the diffence between the two sides was the winger Koysli saw
him in the live game v Guisely and he looked a handful and he was last
night as well..
Lets not get to downbeat the two replacement centre halves will come
on for time on the pitch and although probably both nervous and not totally
match fit thought both did OK, lets remember one is an 18 year old kid who
hopefully has a big future in the game and the other just back from a long
term injury..
